The institute, which was founded in 1984, is a non-profit organisation registered under the Andhra Pradesh (Telangana Area) Public Societies Registration Act, 1350 Fasli (Act I of 1350 F). AICTE, UGC has approved ICFAI University, Raipur, and it is a member of AIU, New Delhi.
