Established in 2011 with approval from the Rajasthan government, Pratap University in Jaipur admits both domestic and foreign students. Members of All India Universities (AIU) and the University Grants Commission (UGC) both acknowledge PU. The University and the University of Donja Gorica in Montenegro have international partnerships.

Pratap University, sometimes referred to as PU, provides more than fifty courses in a variety of subjects, including education, library science, engineering, management, information technology, pharmacy, and basic science and humanities. Pratap University admits students depending on their scores on prior qualifying exams. PU prioritises student training and development in addition to academics. For the Incubation Centre, the university has partnered with Reliance Jio. Additionally, PU's Personality Development Program (PDP) covers verbal skills, group discussions, in-person interviews, practice exams, and much more. Among Pratap University's top employers are Samsung, Amazon, IBM, Cognisant, Capgemini, TCS, and others.
