Founded in 2004, Amity institution Lucknow is a private institution with UGC recognition that occupies 40 acres. Amity University includes Amity Lucknow as a member. The AICTE has approved the university, and the Government of India's DISR has designated it as a Scientific and Research Organisation. It has earned a "A+" grade from the NAAC and is accredited by the BCI, COA, NCTE, and DEC. Over 5000 students can choose from 87 programs offered by the 17 colleges that make up the Amity Lucknow Campus.

Engineering, animation, computer science/IT, biotechnology, pharmacy, fine arts, fashion, liberal arts, law, management, commerce, psychology, and other subjects are among the many undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs offered by the university. The institution conducts personal interviews to determine admission to Amity Lucknow courses.

With more than 800 professors, researchers, and staff, Amity University in Lucknow provides high-quality education. For the purpose of improving students' skills, the institute has partnerships with Sun Microsystems, IBM, Oracle, CA Technologies, and others. Additionally, it has separate dorms for boys and girls that can house up to 2000 students.
