Originally founded as Christ College in 1969, Christ institution Bangalore is a reputable private institution in India. The UGC designated Christ University a deemed-to-be university in 2008 after granting it autonomy in 2004. The NAAC awarded the university a "A+" grade for accreditation. According to the NIRF 2023 rankings, Christ University is ranked 67th in India. Christ University was ranked 60th in management and 13th in law by the NIRF.
